Krista Reinhardt joined Municipal Affairs in May 2024 as the Director for the Building, Fire, Energy and Accessibility Codes and the Provincial Fire Commissioner. Krista is a strong and collaborative leader with over 15 years of experience directing a wide range of Occupational Health & Safety initiatives in the private and public sectors. With 10+ years in the Government of Alberta’s regulatory environment, she brings a wealth of leadership experience to the codes and standards team as well as the fire service.
In her academic career, Krista completed her undergraduate degree obtaining a Bachelor of Science in environmental sciences, with distinction. She has continued to advance her professional development through continued education in occupational health and safety related fields and other leadership focused courses.
Her extensive health and safety experience and ability to build and foster stakeholder relationships will serve to effectively liaise with and support the Fire Service in Alberta.
Outside of work, Krista enjoys camping and the outdoors with her family
