Jim Smith

James (Jim) Smith – Started fighting fire in 1990 in the back woods of Shilo, Manitoba as a military wildland firefighter. Started municipal firefighting in 1994 for the Ardmore Fire Department – MD of Bonnyville. From Ardmore to now, Jim has been a Municipal Firefighter/Fire Officer, Fire Investigator, Fire Instructor, Wildland Firefighter, Wildland Urban Interface Member, Strike Team-Task Force Leader, Industrial Firefighter and Rescue Technician. Jim has taught across Canada, United States and Haiti.
