2024 Insurance Resource Response Overview, What Chiefs and ICs can expect for 2025, and Answers to FAQs
This keynote provides a summary of the Wildfire Defense Systems, Inc., (WDS) 2024 Wildfire Loss Intervention response in Alberta and what Chiefs, IMTs, and AHJs can expect for 2025, including the status of our Canadian based response delivered through Wildfire Defence Systems Canada Inc.
Attendees will see how WDS coordinates response with Alberta Wildfire Service and Alberta Emergency Management to make our arrival and integration on wildfire incidents as smooth and efficient as possible. We will also discuss what incident command can expect from WDS when we arrive. To conclude, we will answer FAQs from elected officials, chiefs, and incident commanders gathered over the course of the past year. We will emphasize that attendees should hold any other insurance resource to the same standards as WDS.
WDS is the largest provider in North America of Qualified Insurance Resource wildfire loss intervention services on behalf of our insurance industry clients. From our Bozeman, Montana International Coordination Center, WDS monitors wildfire activity and dispatches field personnel and equipment to client properties under threat. WDS’ clients include our wildfire threat mitigation services as standard in their policies. Where WDS field personnel can reach a property to perform loss intervention services, there is a 99%+ rate of structure survival.
