Cheryl Evans has over 20 years’ experience working with residents, business, non-governmental organizations, and all orders of government, to help them assess and address their unique climate-related risks, such as flooding, wildfire and extreme heat. By working collaboratively with multiple partners, she has led the co-creation of climate-ready risk assessment tools, public and professional training programs, and community-based education programs. Cheryl holds a Bachelor of Environment and Resource Studies from the University of Waterloo and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Disaster and Emergency Management at Royal Roads University.
