Chief Arcand has been working at the Montreal Fire Department since 2011. He worked as a Hazmat technician from 2017 to 2020 and has been an instructor in this specialty. Since January 2022, he is one of the Battalion Chiefs of the Training Division. His main responsibilities include the officer development program, new firefighter integration, driver section, building structure, and lithium-ion battery.
His role in the lithium-ion battery file has been to plan, analyze, organize, and implement intervention guides, tools, and work procedures to effectively respond to this type of call.
