Fire Chief David Mohl began his volunteer firefighting career in 1990 with the Hanna Fire Department. After serving as a Lieutenant and Deputy Chief for 8 years he took on the role of volunteer Fire Chief in 2004 making him one of the younger Fire Chiefs at that time. David has many fire and emergency management certifications. He currently holds the positions of Fire Chief, Director of Emergency Management and Development Officer for the Town of Hanna. He has been a member of AFCA for over 20 years and has recently taken on the role of AFCA Director at Large Rural. He currently Co-Chairs the AFCA Conference and AFCA Government & Stakeholders Committees.
When David isn’t busy with fire, he along with his wife Kris, own and operate a small business trucking company distributing refrigerated food products throughout East Central Alberta. He has a passion for politics, having been involved in several provincial and federal political parties over the years and will always be quick to share his political view on recent current events. His hobbies are hunting, snowmobiling and off-road riding his side by side whenever time allows.
