Phil assumed this role as Assistant Fire Commissioner in June of 2023 and brought with him 36 years of rich experience in Fire Services, EMS, and Corrections. Phil’s impressive career includes 12 years in Chief Officer roles and 4 years as a senior manager in Vegreville, where he effectively managed nine municipal departments. Phil’s educational background is diverse and he is currently pursuing a diploma in Project Management to further enhance his qualifications. Outside of his professional pursuits, Phil indulges in woodworking and winemaking, hobbies he enjoys in his leisure time. An avid outdoorsman, he often partakes in crown land camping, hiking, and kayaking.
