Our Disaster Relief Units—custom-built tractor trailers equipped with generators, pumps, tools, and safety gear—serve as operational hubs, enabling efficient coordination and resource distribution. Based strategically in Ontario and Alberta, these units ensure we can deploy rapidly to Alberta’s hardest-hit areas. Since 2005, our teams assisted 20,000 plus families nationwide with tasks like debris removal and home remediation, with significant efforts focused on Alberta’s unique needs.
Our Alberta responses demonstrate our commitment to practical, compassionate action. In 2023, we supported survivors of the Mountain View County tornado, helping uninsured or underinsured homeowners with critical cleanup tasks such as tree removal and property remediation. That same year, we responded to the devastating wildfires in Fox Lake, working tirelessly to clear debris and aid families in rebuilding their lives. In 2025, we are in the town of Jasper providing supporting long-term recovery initiative that will help residents fill in the gaps as they start their recovery journey. These efforts provided tangible relief. Volunteers, the backbone of our mission, working alongside local churches and municipal authorities to meet urgent needs, offering their time and energy at no cost to those we serve.
We tailor our response to each community’s needs, whether sifting through ash after wildfires or clearing flood-damaged homes. Our work in Alberta reflects our broader mission to bring hope and practical help to those who have lost everything. By equipping volunteers with the tools and training needed, we empower communities to recover and rebuild, fostering resilience and unity in the face of disaster.
