Wildfire Defense Systems, Inc. (WDS) is a Qualified Insurance Resource (QIR). WDS contracts exclusively with insurance companies and provides wildfire loss intervention services to insured properties. Multiple insurance companies writing homeowner coverage in Alberta and British Columbia include our wildfire loss intervention services as standard in their policies. WDS’ covers a large footprint. On any wildfire incident in either province, up to 40% of threatened properties may receive WDS’ services. WDS monitors wildfires throughout Canada and the United States to determine if specific insured properties are, or will be, threatened. If a property is threatened, regardless of size or value, WDS responds to the incident and requests access. Once access is granted, WDS responds to the threatened home with qualified, inspected, and third-party certified wildfire resources and IAFF member field personnel to provide pre / post-fire-front loss intervention services.
